The Haley Strategic Archive

Visitors of our Showroom are also able to browse our display of prototypes and legacy products, whose concepts and original designs have become a standard for our industry today. We also allow visitors to get hands on with weapons displayed in our Showroom. While most of them are are derived from Special Operations, Law Enforcement, and defense configurations, we also offer the opportunity to get an intimate look at the weapons specifically configured by Travis Haley himself during the different stages of his career.

Force Recon M4A1

The M4A1 was Travis’ service rifle during his time as a Force Reconnaissance Marine, where it saw combat in Iraq, West Africa, and Liberia. The first round that was fired from this weapon system was a 40mm HEDP from the M203, which consequently became Travis’ first confirmed kill in Iraq during the beginning of the war.

This particular M4A1 is a recreation of Travis’ USSOCOM issued SOPMOD M4A1. The belly of the KAC RIS (Knight's Armament Rail Interface System) houses a M203 grenade launcher (40 mm under-barrel grenade launcher). The top rail featured a Surefire 6P (weaponlight) and a AN/PEQ-2 (Infrared Target Pointer/Illuminator/Aiming Light). The upper receiver houses an A.R.M.S. Swan Sleeve with an Aimpoint Comp M2 (battery-powered, non-magnifying red dot sight). The lower receiver features a Redi-Mag (additional magazine caddy) that Travis modified to make accessing the bolt release easier with parts from the ship he was onboard. This is an early example of how Travis was always searching for avenues to make his equipment more efficient.

Najaf Rifle

This modified M16A3 was utilized in a Counter Sniper role for the Iraqi Presidential Envoy Ambassador, Paul L. Bremer, during Travis’ time in Private Military Contracting. This particular weapon system saw its largest engagement and eliminated an estimated 100 enemy combatants from the battlefield on “04-04-04,” or “The Battle of Najaf.”

The Battle of Najaf comprised 11 Blackwater Operators who were engaged in heavy combat for 4 days, holding off an estimated 1000 Iraqi Insurgents who were attempting to overthrow the Coalition Provisional Authority of the “Holy City,” Najaf, Iraq. In honor of his actions on the battlefield that day, Blackwater awarded Travis with a recreation of this rifle for his fast thinking and bravery.

The base of the rifle is a Bushmaster M16A3 with a 20” chrome lined barrel and a 1:9 twist. The modifications are an A.R.M.S. #59 S.I.R. System, Harris Bi-pod, Leupold Mark 4 LRT 3.5-10x40 illuminated mildot mounted via an A.R.M.S. #22 Throw Lever High Rings, and an ATILLA-200 Laser/Illuminator.

Jack Carbine

The Jack Carbine was announced in 2012, which was a collaborative effort between Travis and Bravo Company Manufacturing. The Jack wasn't designed to be a collector’s piece, but rather as a reliable tool that was ready for work right out of the box.

The base of the carbine is BCM, to include the Gunfighter Mod 1 Grip, Gunfighter Charging Handle, and a 14.5” government profile barrel, mid-length gas system with a BCM Gunfighter Compensator that was pinned and welded to bring the overall barrel length to 16”. The handguard is a Geissele Super Modular Rail with BCM Diopter Folding Sights. The trigger is an ALG Defense ACT with a B5 SOPMOD Stock. Mounted on the rifle are the Inforce WML-HSP and the legacy HSP Thorntail 1913 Offset Mount.
