This manual should be read by all persons who have or will have the responsibility for using or maintaining this product. Any warranties by Haley Strategic Partners LLC with respect to this product are voided if the product is not used and maintained in accordance with the instructions in this manual. The following are general safety warnings intended to call attention to the fundamental performance limitations and areas of the product where proper usage must be followed. Failure to use and maintain the product according to the instructions and warnings contained herein may result in the product failing to perform as designed.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH ANY OF THE INSTRUCTIONS OR WARNINGS WILL RESULT IN FAILURE, WHICH SUCH FAILURE MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH

• Inspect the product for discoloration, chemical contamination, excessive UV light exposure, cuts, tears, damaged threads/bartacks, abrasions or cracks before and after each use. If the product fails inspection, it must be destroyed or repaired by the manufacturer before further use.
• DO NOT alter the product in any way
• DO NOT repair the product in any way
• DO NOT expose the product to open flame or excessive heat (this product is not flame resistant)
• DO NOT use this product except in its intended manner

• LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: C-A-T Resources, LLC, its parent company Composite Resources, Inc., Special Operations Aid & Rescue, Ltd. (SOARescue), its employees, agents, contractors, suppliers, and distributors (Haley Strategic Partners LLC) shall assume no liability for injury or damages arising from the application or use of the Combat Application Tourniquet® (CAT), North American Rescue Trauma Shears (Trauma Shears), or SOARescue MedMag IFAK - Hemostatic (including all individual IFAK items included therein). The user assumes all risk of liability. The products mentioned herein should only be used as directed by user’s military service component guidelines, EMS authority, or under the supervision of a physician, and in strict compliance with these Instructions for Use.
• CAT STANDARD USE GUIDELINES: When applied in accordance with directions, the Combat Application Tourniquet® (CAT) is a safe and effective device for controlling life-threatening extremity bleeding. The CAT has a Maximum Operating Circumference of 35in (88.9cm). The use of any tourniquet for longer than 2 hours may lead to permanent neurological or muscular damage. If you cannot be sure or cannot take the additional time to examine where the bleeding is coming from based on the situation, the CAT can be effectively applied over clothing as high on the arm or leg as possible. The CAT must NOT be applied over solid objects within the clothing. As soon as the situation permits, the injured limb should be evaluated, and the CAT re-positioned 2”-3” above the injury directly to the skin. The CAT should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Re-use of this single use device may introduce risk of infection. Dispose of used CAT in accordance with local regulations for biomedical waste. Please report all serious incidents in relation to the CAT to the manufacturer and appropriate regulatory authority.
• NAR TRAUMA SHEARS STANDARD USE GUIDELINES: Re-use of this single use device may introduce risk of infection. Dispose of used Trauma Shears in accordance with local regulations for biomedical waste. Please report all serious incidents in relation to the Trauma Shears to the manufacturer and appropriate regulatory authority.
• SOARESCUE MEDMAG IFAK STANDARD USE GUIDELINES: Re-use of the single use medical items included within the IFAK may introduce risk of infection. Dispose of any IFAK items that become unsealed. Dispose of any used IFAK items in accordance with local regulations for biomedical waste. Please report all serious incidents in relation to the IFAK to the manufacturer and appropriate regulatory authority.

If a defect in materials or workmanship is found in any of our nylon products, we will repair or replace it, free of charge. This excludes normal wear and tear. Products that we carry that are made by another manufacturer, such as North American Rescue, AXL, SOAR and others are subject to the warranty and service policies of those manufacturers. Be aware that the customer is responsible for any and all return shipping charges. This warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferrable. Proof of purchase will be required.

• Normal use allows for a 3-year life of this product, due to natural degradation of materials, if this product is 7-years old it should be destroyed (even if unused)
• All replacement parts must be acquired from Haley Strategic Partners LLC or a licensed dealer partner 

EXCEPT FOR THE FOREGOING WARRANTY, SUPPLIER MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE, AND SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS (i) ANY WARRANTY OR MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS, AND (ii) ANY LIABILITY WITH RESPECT TO ANY PRODUCTS THAT, AFTER DELIVERY TO CUSTOMER, CUSTOMER HAS ALTERED, MODIFIED OR TAMPERED WITH, SUBJECT TO MISUSE, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE DAMAGED, OR HAVE BEEN STORED, HANDLED, OR USED IN A MANNER CONTRARY TO APPLICABLE LAWS OR REGULATIONS OR SUPPLIER’S DIRECTION. 

CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Hand wash with warm water and a cloth or soft brush to remove dirt and debris, air dry indoors away from direct sunlight and do not store damp. DO NOT MACHINE WASH, MACHINE DRY OR DRY CLEAN. Exposure to detergents, bleach, or solvents may result in degradation and reduce the effectiveness of the product.
