The DFNDR Armor® Level III++ Rifle Rated Body Armor is a lightweight, high-performance ballistic plate engineered to defeat special threats 5.56x45 M855 (SS109) Green Tip penetrator, 7.62x39 Chinese Mild Steel Core (MSC), and 7.62x39 Russian PS Ball in addition to other common rifle threats including standard steel jacketed/lead core .308 and copper jacketed/lead core 7.62, .223 and 5.56 threats. Designed for operators who demand maximum protection with minimal weight, (Medium plate weighs only 4.1 lbs), making it one of the lightest Level III++ options available.
Constructed from premium UHMWPE ballistic fibers bound in a high-strength resin matrix, this stand-alone armor system offers exceptional stopping power. The plate is enhanced with Spall-Tek to reduce projectile fragment deflection and features a state-of-the-art Trauma Mitigation Base to significantly reduce impact energy. The multi-curve ergonomic profile ensures all-day comfort, mobility, and a secure fit against the body.

DFNDR Armor® Advanced Lightweight Body Armor (III, III+, III++, IIIX, RF1)
The DFNDR Armor® Advanced Lightweight Body Armor system is engineered with cutting-edge ballistic materials and impact-mitigation technology to deliver exceptional protection against high-velocity rifle threats. Built as a true stand-alone system, this armor is designed to perform without requiring additional soft armor backing.
At the core of the plate is a premium Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) ballistic composite, utilizing some of the highest-strength fibers available today. These fibers are bound in a specialized resin matrix, forming a rigid, lightweight protective structure capable of stopping rifle rounds at muzzle velocity. The UHMWPE backing incorporates millions of high-strength, unidirectional fiber filaments arranged in a cross-plied configuration to absorb energy, dissipate force, and preserve structural integrity under extreme impact conditions. DFNDR Armor’s UHMWPE materials are developed in direct collaboration with Honeywell Technologies, leveraging some of the strongest synthetic fibers available in the world today.
To enhance operator safety even further, each plate is equipped with Spall-Tek, an advanced fragmentation-reduction layer that minimizes the deflection of projectile fragments during impact, helping to reduce secondary injuries.
On the strike face side, the system incorporates a state-of-the-art Trauma Mitigation Base, designed to dramatically reduce the transfer of impact energy to the body. This advanced energy-dispersion layer helps lower the risk of blunt-force trauma and improves comfort during high-threat encounters.
NIJ Testing: Every DFNDR Armor® system is independently tested and verified to the NIJ 0101.06 ballistic standard at NIJ-certified ballistic laboratories, with additional special-threat testing to validate real-world performance beyond baseline protocol requirements.
TSA Compliance: Body armor is permitted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in both carry-on and checked baggage, making DFNDR Armor® systems travel-ready for professionals on the move.
